Giovanni Anzidei is a professional Italian journalist, longtime collaborator of publications such as Panorama, L’Espresso, Il Corriere della Sera, Il Mondo, Tempo Illustrato, Il Venerdì di Repubblica, Sapere. He managed the press office of the Italian Space Agency (ASI) when it was founded. He has organized professional journalistic training courses at NASA and ESA space centers in the USA, central America and Europe. He designed and edited the ASI magazine on space activities. He also edited Università e Ricerca magazine published by the Ministry. He teaches communications as well as history and philosophy in several Italian universities, as well as courses to physics teachers at the National Institute of Nuclear Physics. He represented Italy at the Word Conference of Scientific Journalists in Montreal. He founded the Culture and Science association with the Ministries of Education, of Universities and of Research and Environment. As part of this project he created the Eureka CD-roms illustrating the history and evolution of science, energy consumption, climate chane and the environment; the project was promoted by UNESCO and 200,000 copies of the CD-roms were distributed in schools all over Italy. Vice-president of UGIS (Italian Scientific journalists Union), he has received many awards for his work, including the prize for Journalism on renewable energy sources promoted by the International Solar Energy Society in 1991.
