Gualtiero Bertelli is a musician and singer-songwriter with an interest in traditional music in the local dialect of his home town of Venice. He is the founder of the music and theatre company La Compagnia delle Acque, which frequently works with the journalist and author Gian Antonio Stella. He is currently working on a project entitled Raccontare e cantare Venezia which brings together theatre shows and books with the aim of highlighting the history and culture of a largely unknown and unseen Venice.
