Mario Calabresi is editor of the Italian daily La Stampa. He was previously New York correspondent of the Italian daily La Repubblica, parliamentary correspondent of the Italian press agency ANSA and Washington correspondent of La Stampa. He won the 2002 Angelo Rizzoli and the 2003 Carlo Casalegno journalism awards. He is the author of Spingendo la notte più in là. Storia della mia famiglia e di altre vittime del terrorismo (2007) about the assassination of his father in 1972.
