Festival volunteers: ready, steady, go!

17/01/2010

They’re on their way, and we can already sense their energy and enthusiasm on the social networks. They speak many different languages, they’re bloggers, photographers, aspiring reporters with a passion for journalism. About 200 volunteers will be involved, with the following countries represented: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Egypt, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Jordan, Greece, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Holland, Italy, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Spain, Uganda, UK, Ukraine, USA and Uzbekistan.

All volunteers coming from outside Italy are offered free accommodation at the University of Perugia student residences and free meals at the University of Perugia student canteen.

Volunteers will be involved in one or more of the following activities: press office, logistics, hospitality desk, infopoint, taking photographs, making videos, writing articles for the online festival magazine, conducting interviews of festival speakers.

Volunteers from schools and universities here in Umbria will work alongside those coming from further afield. Find out more about them.
